Alex had a fantastic time in residence at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke earlier in October where he worked with their percussion students and performed a joint recital with their percussion professor and music department chair, Dr. Joey Van Hassel.

UW-Milwaukee Residency
Alex had a wonderful residency at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he was invited as guest artist, composer, and arranger for the Milwaukee Mass Steel Band. He also gave a lecture and taught steel pan to music education students and led a separate masterclass for the percussion studio.

Percussion Masterclass at Mizzou
On October 19th Alex presented a masterclass to the percussion studio at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. There he talked with students about music for percussion and voice, previewed his upcoming 2021 PASIC performance of Rania Chrysostomou's Τίλλειν, and worked with a graduate student on a marimba solo for his upcoming recital.
